Victoria Square, one of Birmingham’s prime city centre venue, will once again be holding the colourful, vibrant, delightful and entertaining Caribbean Festival. Sponsored last year by Levi Roots of “Reggae, Reggae Sauce”, the event attracted over 200,000 people and generated thousands of pounds of business for local trade.

This year's festival promises to be bigger and better with great food, drink and music from the Caribbean and a focus on Caribbean culture, arts and craft.

With acts like Peter Hunningale, Macca B, Murry Man and John McClean on the bill you know its going to be special. Special guests such as Junior Roots and Sandra Loban will be rocking the crowd over three evenings of Caribbean music.

There's Calypso, Soca, Jazz, R'n'B, Regga, Hip Hop and Soul flavours all mixed in over the 3 days. Look out for the young up-and-coming stars from Birmingham!!! Comedians and dancers and poets and ...much more!!!

Street WORKSHOPS : Participate in our African drumming, jewellery making or street dance workshops and have an educational, exciting and fun family day out at the festival.

There's plenty to get involved in, including basket and jewellery making, competitions, drumming, dancing workshops and much more..

Food, Art and Crafts

ART & CRAFT : Arts and Crafts are vibrant areas across the Caribbean Islands, using local materials such as straws and beads. Visit the variety of stalls displaying Caribbean Arts and Crafts products, bags, hats, jewellery trinkets and other accessories, or try your hand at basket weaving.

There's cooking demonstrations as well as the popular Jerk Stalls. This year, there is a wider range of cuisine on offer, such as Vegan (ITAL) meals and snacks, jelly coconut and traditional Caribbean sweets.
